In its peak, Newcastle’s former BHP Steelworks employed tens of thousands of people – and its smoke stacks were an icon of the city’s skyline.
On the 20th anniversary of its closure, the plant is offering special tours, featuring a heritage-listed site which has been closed to the public for decades.
