WOMAN ASSAULTED IN HUNTER VALLEY HOME
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault of a woman in her Singleton home last night.
At around 9pm, a woman, who is known to the resident, arrived at her Harriet Street home with a man.
A confrontation occurred between the two women, before the man and other woman punched and kicked the 42-year-old resident before leaving the premises.
She suffered a fractured eye socket, cheek bone and nose, but managed to walk to her neighbour’s home where emergency services were called.
She was taken to John Hunter Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
