UPDATE: WOMAN CHARGED WITH MURDER OVER DISAPPEARANCE OF HUNTER BABY
A 43-year-old woman has been charged with murder, following the disappearance of a Hunter baby 15 years ago.
Strike Force Kanuna was formed to investigate Leonie Astra Hutchinson, who was reported missing in 2004.
Investigators believe she was 16-months-old when she disappeared from her home in Scone, around January 2001.
This morning detectives arrested a woman at Evans Head, on the Far North Coast.
She’s been refused bail and is due to face court again on April 22.
