NEWCASTLE RIDERS SPIN 4 KIDS

Hundreds of Novocastrians cycled for a cause at Honeysuckle today, in Variety’s first Spin 4 Kids challenge.

35 teams pulled on the lycra for a grueling six-hour spin bike race, raising money for local kids with special needs.

“Some teams area riding for 15 minutes each swapping over, some teams are doing an hour each and a couple of crazy individuals are doing the whole six hours by themselves,” Jason Bourke from Variety said.

More than $35,000 has been raised.
