SHED AND CARS DESTROYED IN GRASS FIRE

Up to nine cars and two trailers were destroyed in a grass fire at Pampoolah, west of Taree this afternoon.

The blaze spread from a drum of burning rubbish, which had been left unattended on the Malcolms Road property.

A storage shed was burnt to the ground, along with the cars inside – some of them, believed to be classics.

The fire burnt through two hectares of grass, before RFS crews managed to control it.
