FIREFIGHTERS QUICK WORK STOPS GAS LEAK ON CARTHAGE STREET

A section of Tamworth’s Carthage Street was closed this afternoon while firefighters worked to fix a gas leak near St Nicholas Primary School.
Emergency services were called just after 2… it’s believed workers hit a gas line while digging.
It took crews around twenty minutes to stop the leak and the road was re-opened just before school finished.
