TWO CHARGED AFTER GOLD COAST PURSUIT
A man and a woman who allegedly fled the scene of a police pursuit on the Gold Coast earlier this week have been charged.
The pursuit took place on Santa Barbara Boulevard in Hope Island around 1:30pm on Wednesday, after police became aware of a utility driving in an unusual manner.
Police tracked the vehicle to the Mount Tamborine area, near Thunderbird Park, where the vehicle went into bushland.
The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old man from Newtown, was apprehended, but a man and a woman who were passengers in the vehicle, fled the scene on foot.
Police allegedly located the pair on Tamborine Mountain Road, shortly after 9am yesterday.
A 25-year-old Kingston man has been charged with 16 offences including stealing, wilful damage, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter premises and commit indictable offence.
A 26-year-old Kyogle women has been charged with two counts each of enter premises and commit offence and attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
