Newcastle’s Lord Mayoral candidates are tonight being questioned by business leaders, at a joint Chamber of Commerce forum.
Earlier, the campaigning for council seats continued, with independent John Church calling for the Carrington boat ramp to be upgraded.
“It could be made much safer and a greater amenity for boat users by simply adding a floating pontoon. We’d like council to look at funding that and undertaking a cost benefit analysis.”
