COFFS COAST COMMUNITIES BLOOM YELLOW FOR DAFFODIL DAY
Mid North Coast communities were bloomed bright yellow today, as the Cancer Council’s army of volunteers tramped the streets and manned stalls, all in support of Daffodil Day.
From Coffs Harbour to Port Macquarie, more than 100 volunteers were busy raising funds for research, prevention and support.
“Approximately 350 each year will be diagnosed with cancer here in Coffs Harbour, and of those people there are a number of cancers that they’re diagnosed with.”
On the Coffs Coast, breast, lung, bowel and prostate cancer are most commonly diagnosed, as well as melanoma.
