One teenager has been killed and another is in hospital with serious injuries following a head-on vehicle collision in the Hunter Valley.
Police say the two 17-year-old males were riding their motorcycles along Commission Road in Jerry Plains at around 2:30pm yesterday, when a Nissan Patrol travelling in the opposite direction rounded a bend and crashed head-on with the motorkbikes.
One of the riders was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.
The second rider was flown to John Hunter Hospital with serious injuries including fractures to his skull, arm and lower legs, as well as internal injuries.
The 59-year-old driver of the Nissan was taken to Singleton Hospital for mandatory tests.
Police say no charges are expected to be laid.
