Armidale runner Jay Stone has returned home from the World Masters Athletics Championships in Perth with a bronze medal.
Competing in the men’s 400 metres in the 35-39 age category, he ran his fastest time in four and a half years, to take out third in the final.
He was also part of Australia’s 4×400 relay team, which finished fifth, although its time of three minutes and 31 seconds was a national record.
