A 37-year-old man has been charged with indecently assaulting a teenager in Newcastle.
The 16-year-old girl was walking along Beaumont Street in Hamilton on Saturday afternoon when the attack happened.
About 8.30 this morning, a police officer saw a man fitting the description of the alleged offender in the same suburb.
During a subsequent search of his home, police seized items of clothing for forensic analysis.
He’s due to face Newcastle Local Court next month.
