EAGLES HUNTING FIRST WIN

Armidale is set for its first taste of National Rugby Championship action tomorrow, with both teams arriving today.

The New South Wales Country Eagles are seeking their first win, while Canberra is entrenched in the top four.

Tamworth-bred captain Paddy Ryan and Glen Innes’ Alex Newsome headline the local talent on display for the hosts.

Quirindi’s ACT Brumbies skipper Sam Carter has been rested from the visitors side this week.

Kick off is 1pm at Belle Vue.
