With the national AFL Women’s competition undergoing rapid expansion, we just might see local talent drafted in the near future.
Following the success of the region’s first women’s season this year, the Northern Inland Academy of Sport has added a girls squad to its Aussie Rules program.
The AFL North West was brimming with junior talent in its first competition, and the program will allow players to work on their skills during the off season.
Trials will be in Inverell on October 29, for girls aged between 12 and 16.
