$500,000 ALLEGEDLY DEFRAUDED FROM WOOLGOOLGA BUSINESS
A 64-year old man has been arrested after allegedly defrauding a Mid North Coast business of more than half a million dollars, since 2003.
Electronic equipment including computers were seized in a search following his arrest yesterday, and taken for forensic examination.
Police were alerted after administrators identified a discrepancy in funds allegedly controlled by an accountant for the Woolgoolga business.
The man has been charged with ‘obtain benefit by deception’, and was granted conditional bail to appear of Coffs Harbour Local Court on November 13.
