A striking new statue in the Hunter has been dedicated to those who served at Beersheba.
Titled, Over The Top, the bronze work at Muswellbrook depicts a horse and rider crossing an enemy trench, in the victorious cavalry charge.
The statue also commemorates the Upper Hunter’s association with the Light Horse – many of the horses used by the troops were bred in the area.
