TWO PEOPLE IN SERIOUS CONDITION FOLLOWING CRASH AT TINONEE

A man and a woman have been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition this afternoon.

The pair were travelling along the Bucketts Way near Tinonee, when their vehicle left the road and went down an embankment, hitting a tree.

They were trapped for a short time, before emergency services cut them free.

Both sustained chest injuries and facial lacerations.
