The first round of the MA Connolly Cup got underway on the weekend, and while rain put a dampener on some games, others still went ahead.
Gwydir opener Luke Smith scored 52 against Walcha’s bowling attack, after his side won the toss and elected to bat.
Chasing 148, Walcha lost two wickets for 34 runs in reply, before the weather brought an early end to proceedings.
