Socceroos striker Tim Cahill has quit Melbourne City.
Cahill, who turns 38 today, is walking out on the A-League club to seek out game time, in a bid to cement his World Cup spot.
The marquee star has played just six games for City this season – five he started from the bench.
There is speculation Cahill had fallen out with club coach Warren Joyce.
