SHOTGUN ALLEGEDLY FIRED AT A VEHICLE ON THE MID NORTH COAST
Two men have been charged after a vehcile on the Mid North Coast was damaged by a shotgun.
Police responded to reports that a Volkswagon Golf had its rear window shot out on Dyer Road at Coffs Harbour, at about 8am yesterday.
Police believe the damage happened at about 5am, when witnesses reported hearing a loud noise.
Damaged letterboxes were also discovered on Nugget Close and Lockyer Close – police allege they had also been shot.
Two men, aged 23 and 24, were arrested at about 2pm and both were charged with three counts of discharging a firearm in a public place, and malicious damage.
Police also seized three registered firearms from the 24-year-old, and both men will appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court next year.
