GREYHOUND BAN TO BE DEBATED IN PARLIAMENT

A petition, calling on the Premier to save greyhound racing, will be tabled in state parliament next week.

Member for Wallsend Sonia Hornery launched the petition three weeks ago – so far it’s collected close to 16,000 signatures.

“It’s an indication the community is concerned with this quick decision by the Baird Government to ban greyhound racing.”

The Labor MP says the Premier owes it to the community to at least debate the decision in parliament, before the ban is introduced next year.
