NEW HUNTERS COACH BEGINS TO BUILD WOMEN’S TEAM

New Hunters women coach Shannon Seebohm, admits it’s unlikely Suzy Batkovic will return in 2018, but he’s still hoping to sign an Australian WNBL star.
For now, he’s keen to work with local players and see them take control of the team.
“Ali Ebzery I think even though she’s young, she can take more of a leadership role. Charlotte Bull’s another one.”
Meanwhile, Newcastle Basketball has been named the state’s Association of the Year, while local junior Lara McSpadden won the best country female player award.
