MUM ON A MISSION TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE NEAR ROADS

A mum on a mission to keep children safe near roads, today launched a holiday season campaign at Port Stephens.
Michelle McLaughlin started the Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation, after her son was hit and killed by a car on the Central Coast in 2014.
She’s hoping to convey the road safety message through a series of colourful signs across the region.
“If children can’t read, my hope as a mum and as a road safety activist is to attract children’s attention to say ‘mum and dad what’s that?’ Or ‘mum and dad see that’ and for drivers. The message is for all road users,” said Ms McLaughlin.
