2017: A YEAR OF CITIZENSHIP SCANDALS AND BY-ELECTIONS IN THE NEW ENGLAND AND NORTH WEST

From dual citizenship scandals to by-election campaigns, 20-17 was a big year for politics in the New England and North West.
For deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce it was one for the history books- storming home in the polls, claiming the largest swing in by-election history.
But Mr Joyce wasn’t the only politician in the region to celebrate a milestone, with one member clocking up a decade in the job.
