WILLIAMS AIMS FOR THIRD TIME LUCKY

The Nationals’ Leslie Williams will try for a third time to win the state seat of Port Macquarie.
The nurse and long-time community campaigner was the party’s only nomination for pre-selection and is expected to be formally endorsed next month.
Mrs Williams has been described by the party’s state director as a fierce advocate for the electorate.
She’ll be up against the sitting member, Peter Besseling who won the seat in a by-election in October 2008.
The state election will be held in March next year.
