While police have expressed general disappointment at driver behaviour in the Hunter, Port Stephens motorists are being commended.
Officers say, during Operation Safe Arrival, there were no serious car accidents in the area.
“The local police and highway patrol have conducted over 5000 RBT tests in that period, and luckily as a result we’ve had no fatalities or serious injuries,” Acting Superintendent Steve Laksa from Port Stephens LAC says.
