OURIMBAH BOARDING HOUSE HALTED FOR TIME BEING

A new year win for residents opposed to a boarding house in Ourimbah, with the developer’s deferred commencement application lapsing its allocated time frame.
If the owner wants to proceed with the build, they would have to lodge a new DA with Central Coast Council.
The Land and Environment Court refused the developer’s application to demolish the existing block back in August.
A four-storey affordable housing facility was proposed for the site, but locals argued that it didn’t fit with the suburb’s character.
