HUNTER ATHLETES SELECTED FOR GOLD COAST COMM GAMES

Charlestown’s Erin Cleaver has become one of the first competitors to be named on Australia’s athletics team for the Commonwealth Games.
17-year-old Cleaver will compete in the T38 Long Jump on the Gold Coast and is also hoping to be added to the 100 metre event after the trials in February.
Lake Macquarie-bred athlete Cameron Crombie was selected for the F38 Shot Put.
He set a world record in the event at the World Para Athletics Championships in 2017.
And former Newcastle resident, Celia Sullohern, who’s coached by the Hunter’s Scott Westcott, was picked for the 10,000-metre race.
