Newcastle surfer Jake Sylvester has been crowned the under 21 Australasian champion, after his main rival Mitch Parkinson bowed out of the tour finale at Park Beach today.
It was an earlier than expected win for the 20 year old, who’s in his final year on the pro junior circuit.
