Love was in the air in Tamworth this Valentine’s Day with florists reporting records sales.
From chocolates to teddy bears, roses remain the clear favourite, while staff at Aunty Jax say lillies moved up in popularity.
“We got in a couple of thousand stems of roses along with other flowers and we’ll probably end up doing 2 to 300 deliveries,” Mick Sweeney, Aunty Jax.
They say Valentine’s Day is their single busiest day of the year, ahead of Mother’s Day.
