A man accused of grooming a child online has appeared at Taree Local Court.
51-year-old Ian Whilhelm Smith is facing two charges including using a carriage service to procure a person under 16.
Detectives linked to the Sex Crime Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit arrested Mr Smith at a Gloucester home last month, following a three month undercover investigation.
He’ll remain on conditional bail until his next court appearance on the 21st of August.
