HADDEN AND McCORQUDALE WIN WANDIYALI CLASSIC

There was drama at the open final of the Wandiyali Indigenous Classic over at Surfest, with 11-time winner Russ Malony arriving half way through the final – due to his commitments at the boardriders battle.
He failed to catch a wave in the final and managed to snap his board.
It wasn’t his day, that’s for sure, but it was Joe Hadden’s.
He caught some solid waves to claim the Russ Malony trophy, the winners cheque AND a wildcard into the QS starting at Surfest tomorrow.
Jasmin McCorqudale took out the women’s event.
