SEARCH CONTINUES FOR WILLIAM ‘JOHN’ TORRENS

Moree Police are holding out hope of finding missing man William ‘John’ Torrens alive.

The 73-year-old has been missing since January 5 – and was last seen walking out of the Fairview Retirement Village.

Almost eight weeks on from his disappearance, police say they continue to receive reports of sightings.

“The most recent ones occurred on the 8th of February, one again on the North Coast that is consistent with other information that we’ve had come in and also another one at Roma Street Station in Brisbane.”

Officers say none of the reported sightings have been confirmed, but they will investigate each and every call they receive.
