Tamworth basketballer Nick Kay has experienced further success on the national stage, with the Australian Boomers downing the Philippines last night 84 points to 68.
The win by the Aussies at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, elevates the Boomers to the top of their FIBA World Cup qualification group.
The Boomers return to the same court tomorrow afternoon, where a win over Chinese Taipei will assure the team a place in the second round of qualifying.
