JRPP DEFERS DECISION ON CONTROVERSIAL WEST BYRON DEVELOPMENT

A decision on a controversial development at West Byron has been deferred, pending further discussions with council and the applicant.
The $40 million residential subdivision proposed by the West Byron Landowners Group went before the Joint Regional Planning Panel at Mullumbimby this afternoon.
But Northern JRPP chairman Garry West said late information from the applicant meant a decision couldn’t be made today.
The matter may yet end up before the Land and Environment Court.
