Having celebrated its centenary last year, the Manilla Tigers have officially withdrawn from the 20-18 season.
A lack of commitment from players left the club with no option but to withdraw from Group 4’s second division.
The club’s president, Jennene Beale released a statement today expressing her disappointment – though remained positive on rebuilding the club over the next 12-months.
She said, after several weeks of extremely poor attendance at training by the players, and a strong campaign to attract new recruits, the numbers did not improve which left the committee no other option.
There’s every hope the Tigers will return in 20-19.
