A 28-year-old man has been charged over the assault of another man in Port Macquarie.
Police were called to Everard Street at two-thirty this morning to find a man lying on the road with multiple head injuries.
“48 year old man was treated at the scene by ambulance before being taken to Port Macquarie hospital with multiple injuries including serious facial injuries and is expected to be transferred to John Hunter Hospital later today for further treatment” – Detective Inspector Kim Fehon
It’s alleged the 48-year-old was hit over the head with a glass bottle.
The man will front Port Macquarie Local Court tomorrow.
