Central Coast Councillor Lisa Matthews has been successful in her petition to officially rename The Entrance Ocean Baths as ‘The Grant McBride Baths’.
Council agreed to the motion at last night’s meeting.
McBride’s daughter and Dobell Federal Member Emma McBride today said it was a wonderful way to commemorate his legacy.
In 2002, the State Member for The Entrance, Mr McBride petitioned to have the 1930s-built pool heritage listed, and it was the following year.
He passed away last month at age 68, from Alzheimers.
