TWO BOYS ESCAPE SERIOUS INJURY IN CATAMARAN CAPSIZE
Two teenage boys were lucky escape serious injury when they were swept
onto rocks after their catamaran capsized late yesterday afternoon at Coffs Harbour.
The pair had been sailing in the harbour in 20 knot winds when they lost control of their boat.
The strong wind swept the boat and the boys onto rocks near the harbour’s boat ramp.
Emergency services attended the scene and treated the boys who suffered minor abrasions in the incident.
The four-metre mari-cat has since been salvaged.
