A resin filter installed at Benedmeer’s Airlie Road bore is being touted a success.
The latest uranium content detected in the town’s water showed it being well below the Australian Drinking Water Guideline.
The $215,000 treatment system installed last September is designed to remove the naturally occuring uranium from the water.
The bore is the secondary source of water, when the Macdonald River falls to low levels.
