NEWCASTLE’S BUS DRAMA RAISED IN PARLIAMENT
Concerns over Newcastle’s bus network have reached state parliament.
100 residents made their way to Sydney to support local MPs, after 20,000 signatures were collected demanding change.
“We need to improve the bus service and preferably put it back to government buses,” one resident said.
“What we’ve got in poor connectivity, blowouts in journey time, reduced operating hours and of course cuts to vital services,” Member for Swansea, Yasmin Catley voiced in parliament.
The Transport Minister promised some changes – without giving a timeframe.
