NEW TOWERS TO IMPROVE MOBILE PHONE COVERAGE
Mobile phone coverage in the Lyne electorate is continuing to improve with Optus set to install a new mobile base station at Firefly, south of Krambach, in the coming months.
The new mobile phone tower is part of the Federal Government’s $220 million Mobile Black Spot Program.
Optus also has plans to install a new macro-base station to power a tower in the Mount Seaview area, while Telstra will install a similar sized tower to service the Gresford area.
Construction of the new towers will start soon.
