MAN CHARGED OVER PORT STEPHENS FATAL
A man has been charged over a crash that claimed the lives of two men, at Salamander Bay earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Soldiers Point Road in the early hours of Friday 13th, where they found a Mazda 3 had hit a tree.
A 34-year-old and a 29-year-old man died on the way to hospital.
The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man, was charged with multiple offences including two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death.
He will face court next month.
