NEW LAMBTON COME FROM BEHIND TO BEAT WALLSEND IN WPL

In round 8 of the Women’s Premier League,
Adamstown bounced back from last week loss with a big win over Thornton, while South Wallsend’s clash with Warners Bay was washed out.
At Alder Park it was Wallsend who had the best of the early chances, a long range effort from Laura Hall going just over.
Newcastle Jets player Tara Andrews went close for New Lambton.
Before a perfectly timed through ball helped set up Sass Seabourn for the Red Devils opener.
That’s where the scoring ended for Wallsend, New Lambton netting four goals including a brace to Hannah Batten to run away with a third straight victory.
