MORE OFF-LEASH PARKS FOR GOOD DOGGOS ON THE CARDS

More fenced dog parks could pop up around Newcastle, with the council due to put its Dogs in Open Space Strategy up for public comment.
The proposal would see a combination of fenced and unfenced zones at Lambton, Adamstown, Elermore Vale and Mayfield.
However, King Edward Park’s leash-free area could be removed as part of the plan.
The proposal will be on public exhibition for three months.
