PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING IN HUNTER VALLEY

Three people have escaped injury, after a plane made an emergency landing in the Hunter Valley overnight.
The twin-engine aircraft was forced to land near an open cut mine at Ravensworth, between Singleton and Muswellbrook, after reporting a mayday call following engine failure.
Newcastle’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene as a precaution.
All three occupants on-board walked away uninjured.
