There’s been a special school reunion over the weekend.
These young students made the journey from Indonesia to Lake Macquarie, to surprise their former volunteer teacher Beverley Hopwood.
“When I saw Rena I squeezed the middle out of her and so did she. We had a little cry and that was lovely.”
78-year-old Beverly volunteered as a special needs teacher at the kids’ school near Jakarta for two years, before recently returning home.
