HIGHWAY PATROLS RAMP UP FOR SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Police from Sydney will help ramp-up patrols on Hunter roads these school holidays.
With increased traffic expected, officers are urging motorists to obey the rules… and they’ll be cracking down on speeding and mobile phone use.
“Our intent is to have high RBT activities, high random drug testing, high speed detection and enforcement,” Chief Inspector Bruce McGregor from Norther Region Highway Patrol says.
50 people have died on roads between the Central Coast and the Queensland border this year.
