Two fisherman at Hawks Nest landed more than the feed they set out for yesterday, hauling in a Great White Shark on Bennetts Beach.
After a 30 minute fight, they landed their surprise catch on the sand – a tagged juvenile around two and a half metres long.
The fishermen unhooked the white pointer and released it back into the ocean.
The haul comes after a week of shark sightings between the surf club and Yacaaba headland.
