Federal member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, says the region’s exporters have just over a week to wait until the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement takes effect.
The agreement starts on December 20 and is expected to save Australians hundreds of millions of dollars in tariffs next year alone.
It also ensures 86 per cent of Australian exports including beef, sheep and dairy, will enter China duty free.
